Course outline:  Not a Bully, Not a Victim

This workshop is designed for middle school boys to recognize the moment when joking crosses the line , and to give them the verbal tools, internal awareness, and courage to respond effectively and remove themselves as the target.

Contrary to popular fears, the majority of young people who know how to defend themselves do not misuse those skills. In fact, they are more likely to use their voice to de-escalate conflict. Confidence reduces the need to prove oneself.

Instructor

Being a father of seven children (three of them Boys), I realize the safety concerns parents have for their children. Like many parents, I am tired of seeing young boys being bullied, teased, and  targeted. I designed this workshop to help young men have the awareness skills to avoid danger, the de-escalation tools that project confidence, as well as the self-defense skills to stop someone from harming them.

 The workshop will empower them with tested skills to handle, avoid, control, or stop threatening situations.  Thank you for letting my team work with your sons.
